Acid Attacks
A 22 years old women, Nasrin Akter, has been attacked with acid by her drug addict husband while she was asleep on 5th May 2017 night when she was sleeping.
Nasrin Akter now admitted in burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
She was a garments worker.
Nasrin Akter's husband is a drug addict and he demanded money from Nasrin Akter for buy drugs, after refuse to give money at night her husband through acid on her body. Doctor said 26 % of her body burnt. There are 3347 incidents happen in Bangladesh since 1999-2016 and 3712 are affected by Acid Survivors Foundation. Main causes of Acid Attacks in Bangladesh are rejecting a marriage or "love" proposal, failure to pay dowry or by land disputes.
